FREAK FM
About Freak FM
Original live electronic music. Real machines. A growing community.
Freak FM is a free archive and discovery platform for original live electronic music from Detroit and beyond.
We exist to help hardware artists share their work, reach new listeners, and connect with the people making this music happen. From synthesizers and drum machines to modular systems, samplers, grooveboxes, and stranger instruments, Freak FM is a place to hear the machines in action and discover the artists behind them.
Every set is more than a link. Explore the artist, the sound, the location, the genre, and the gear that brought it to life. Follow the path from a machine you love to the people using it in real performances.
Who it's for
Freak FM is for electronic musicians, curious listeners, hardware enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to the underground live music community.
Come here to discover a new artist, hear what a favorite machine can do, find a live set for the night, or see what gear people are actually using. Tune into curated radio, read interviews, explore events, and connect with a growing network of artists and listeners.
If you make live electronic music, Freak FM is also a place to be seen. Build your profile, share your current live or studio setup, and submit a performance link for the community to discover.
Built for the community
Freak FM is built and curated by people who care about live electronic music and the artists who make it. Artists shape the archive by contributing performances; Freak FM reviews submissions to keep discovery useful, welcoming, and focused on original work.
We bring together links and embedded players from platforms such as SoundCloud and YouTube, while keeping every performance connected to its original source.
No membership paywall. No empty hype. Just real artists, real machines, and more ways to discover what is happening in live electronic music.
